What is EISSR?

The European International Schools Ski Race is a competition held in Wengen (Switzerland) at the end of January every year, and involves over 150 young skiers from international schools in the region, taking part in Alpine ski racing in a friendly yet professional setup.

Every competitor gets the chance to follow in the tracks of the worlds greatest skiers, finding out what it feels like to launch themself from the start hut at the top of the Lauberhorn - arguably one of the top race pistes on the FIS World Cup circuit.

If you want a taste of what it's like, why not follow the FIS World Cup which takes place two weeks before our competition? Our racers probably won't be going quite that fast and the crowds are a little smaller, but it will give you some idea of what it's like!
